Summertime activities and heat have slowed the clean up effort, but it's still alive and kickin'!
The clean up was one of the topics of discussion at last weeks Clinton Greenway Conservation Trust meeting, and it was suggested that "Adopt An Area" program might be launched, with citizens and businesses pledging to keep an area clean. I think this is a great idea. The CGCT has offered their assistance with the clean up, and we'll explore ways to make it happen effectively. I'm really grateful for their support. Members of Town Government and businesses will be contacted, and we'll see what we can put together.
Scheduling group clean ups looks to be a bit tricky at the height of summer, but there's no shortage of trash out there, so if you've got a half an hour, go for a walk and see what you can bag!

Went down to WHEAT thrift shop yesterday and was amazed what a great job they did cleaning up the street in front of the store. The gutter, which had been packed with crud before, was swept totally clean. Way to go - YAY WHEAT! Now we gotta keep it clean... and move on down the line.
