depends on where you live as to when it will be....it's $2.50 a sticker...nice thing is.....you can buy 4o gal trash bags and as long as it's not super heavy...under 25 lbs....it's $2.5o. i say it's a nice thing because the towns that have trash bags you have to buy to get rid of you trash, the bags are smaller...yes they cost less, but.....i guess it's 6 of 1 or 1/2 dozen of another!!!
what part of town are you moving to? here on the acre, berlin st. trash pick up is fridays.

Forget that url. This is the "official" town website. ;-)

Ken,
Do you have a "sticky" for this topic somewhere, as it always seems to come up with newcomers to the Town and the site.

Isn't it $2.00 a "sticky"?

The fees went up to $2.50 a sticker this fall, but still a bargain.

You can get your stickers at a variety of stores in town. I usually hit up the Cumby's on Chestnut Street or Hannafords. I know that in the acre section of town, trash pick-up is always on Friday (unless there is a Friday holiday, in which case it is Thursday).

However, the holiday schedule one is out of date (which may be why I can't find it from the DPW website), at least for Thursdays. It claims that all Thursday pickups (except Grove Street) are picked up Wednesday (today) for a Thursday holiday. However, the main DPW homepage (http://www.clintondpw.com/) says:
Holiday rubbish schedule
Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's DayMonday: Regular Pickup
Tuesday: Regular Pickup
Wednesday: Regular Pickup
Thursday: Holidays
Friday: Thursday & Friday PickupPickup times may be earlier than usual. Please have bags curbside by 6:00am.
I live on Spruce Street (regular Thursday pickup), and there's been no sign of trash trucks yet today, so I'm inclined to believe that the holiday pickup is now Friday.
P.S. - As I was typing this, Lisa from the DPW returned my call and confirmed that all Thursday-holiday trash pickups are indeed now Fridays. ![]()

For what its worth, we have pick-up on Fridays around 7:40 AM. On holiday weeks, the pick-up is usually about an hour earlier...

Thanks for that update, I also saw the same information, so our trash is in a covered receptace at St. side and can stay there until Friday. Thanks again.
Can I ask WHY Grove Street area is so different ? I live on Beacon and I don't see why we're different.

I actually missed the trash truck today! I didnt think they would be around to be honest. We took a walk down the street to check the damage at 7:30 this AM and figured all the town workers would be clearing trees.. lets hope for cold weather so the trash I have doesnt' stink up the garage.
I saw them on their way past my house but knew I didnt have time to chase them. Oh well..
I did just see a front end loader go by moving trees off the street.

Yeah we do that sometimes on accident. We leave the garage door open about a foot for our cat when he is out and about.. and sometimes 'nature' comes in and helps themselves..

thought mr crow was looking kind of plump! he comes up here and drives the dog nuts...the dog hates birds and mr crow knows it....stands in the yard and watches for the dog to come to the window to go nuts!

hey, i learned the hard way that mr. and mrs. skunk and the kids really, REALLY enjoy the taste of tomato sauce from P&S pizza.....if there's so much of a whiff of it in the bag, i end up with a rowdy gang of black-and-white ne'er-do-wells on my front steps. they are not very shy, either. recently, i bumped one in the rear with the door as he slurped the dregs from the bottom of a plastic tomato-sauce container and he didn't even look up.... bad weather doesn't stop them, either!

So who do I call about a missed pick up? My bags were stickered, where they always are, and missed for some reason. The neighbor said his were picked up on time. I'm confused on what to do ![]()
UPDATE:
My wife called the DPW, they were very nice about it. Came out quickly and picked it up. ![]()
