My 2 sons (soon to be 4 and 6 yrs old) made the front page of the Times & Courier today. I wanted to let you all know to try to make a trip up Wilson Street on the weekends or whenever you think of it. They raised $325 last year and gave it all to Katrina Relief (we actually found a company to match it so we donated $650). This year my oldest son decided he wanted to again donate 100% of proceeds to charity. We are donating all proceeds to the Diamond Blackfan Anemia Foundation (www.dbafoundation.org), we know 2 children who suffer from this genetic disease. All money donated to DBA goes to DBA.. something that does not happen with all Foundations.
We try to get out a few hours each weekend day and sometimes during the week after Noontime. We are located at the 'dam' end of the street.
So please stop by and drop a quarter in the jar (or more if you want to) for a good cause and enjoy some Delicious Ice Cold Lemonade!
