The President and Governor Dukakis motored from the Sheraton Inn to Clinton Town Hall, 242 Church Street, Clinton, Massachusetts.

The President was greeted by:

Alan D. Jewett, Chairman, Clinton (Massachusetts) Board of Selectmen
Martin H. McNamara III, Clinton (Massachusetts) Selectman
Philip H. Nolan, Clinton (Massachusetts) Selectman

The President participated in a town meeting. The meeting was broadcast live on nationwide television. The Presidential party went inside the town hall. The President, escorted by Mr. Jewett went to the podium. The President was introduced by Mr. Jewett.

The President addressed approximately 1,000 citizens of Clinton (Massachusetts) attending the meeting.

The President participated in question and answer session.

The President returned to his motorcade.

9:08pm to 9:09pm

The President motored from Clinton Town Hall to the residence of Mr and Mrs. Edward "Gunner" Thompson, 309 Chestnut Street. Mr. Thompson is Office Manager for Burke Distributing Company, Randolph, Massachusetts. The President was greeted by: Mr. Thompson and Mrs. Thompson.

The President talked with the First Lady.

The President was an overnight guest in the Thompson residence, Clinton, Massachusetts.
